Anime Food Re-creation: Hanasaku Iroha's Omurice
Hey everyone! Happy 12-12-12!
I know I haven't been blogging lately, but please know I haven't forgotten about you all! This past fall, I got into a graduate program and am now pursuing a Master's degree! Life has been hectic and crazy, but now that we're on break, I hope to cook up some new tasty treats.
As a special surprise, I have another Anime Re-creation! Today is omurice from Hanasaku Iroha.
Hanasaku Iroha - Omurice
Omurice is essentially an omelet wrapped around fried rice. Omelet + Rice = Omurice! Get it?
Real Life Anime Food: Hanasaku Iroha's Omurice
To make omurice, I simply followed Cooking with Dog's recipe on Youtube. You can actually use whatever type of fried rice you want. It's the technique for forming it into an omelet that you really need to pay attention to. It took me a couple of tries to get it right, but the failures are just as yummy. :)
If you have any suggestions for more anime foods or other fictional foods, please feel free to suggest them!
Awesome! I love your blog, especially all the detail that is present in your movie/ anime food re-creation! Damn! If I were your neighbour, know that your food would mysteriously vanish all the time! :)
@MayClover: Thanks! I'm glad I could inspire you! :)
Yes, you may make a blogpost about my creations! :) Were you planning on using any of my images? If so, which one? I kindly request that you please use only one of my personal images for your post (if you are using a photo) and just give credit/link back, but other than that please post away. Thank you for already agreeing to linking back! :)
@Chrissy: Sorry for the late reply! You mean only one photo of the anime food that you recreated? I wanted to make a post but I am happy that I looked back for your reply because I wanted to post more than one of your photos (wit of course your your link) but if I can only post one, I should stick to that ;)
thanks!
P.s.: I was thinking about one of the Yumeiro Patissiere recreations (like the Gingerbread house for Ringo) ^^
@MayClover: Ya, only one of the photos of my anime food. I don't want too many of my photos floating around in case people don't know to link back. Thanks for understanding! The Gingerbread house one is fine. :)
Hi, I stumbled across your blog while searching for pictures of omurice in anime~ I am amazed at the amount of time and effort you put into your food re-creations, esp. the decorations! ^_^
Awesome, it looks just like it! I used that same recipe, it really is yummy! (" ^ - ^ ")
